I am Pauline, the wife of Jeremiah
Ich wuchs in dem kleinen und entlegenen Dorf Mbuguni südöstlich von
Arusha auf, in der Nähe der Mirerani Minen, wo nach den berühmten
und kostbaren Tanzanit-Edelsteinen gegraben wird. Auch heute noch
lebt dort ein großer Teil meiner erweiterten afrikanischen Familie.
Wir gehören zum Volk der Meru.
I grew up in the small and remote village of Mbuguni, south-east of Arusha.
This is near to the Mirerani mines, where people dig for the famous and
precious Tanzanite gemstones. Still nowadays a great number of my
extended African family is living there. We all are Meru people.

In meinem Heimatdorf können Touristen auch für ein paar Tage
wohnen. Sie werden als Freunde empfangen. Die Unterkunft
ist schlicht und einfach, aber sauber.
Interested tourists can stay for some days in my home village.
They will be welcomed as friends, and accommodation is simple,
but neat and clean.

Auch von meiner großen Familie leben noch viele Mitglieder in den
Dörfern um den Mount Meru und ich würde gerne interessierten
Menschen das Dorfleben und die traditionellen Sitten nahe bringen.
Many members of my family are still living in the villages around Mount
Meru, and I would like to welcome interested tourists to our village life
and to our customs. Simple, but neat and clean accommodation is possible.
Ich wurde in einem kleinen Dorf an den Hängen des Mount Meru
geboren und ich gehöre zum Volk der Meru. Wir Meru haben eine
eigene Sprache und auch eine eigene Kultur.
I was born in a small village up the slopes of Mount Meru, and I also belong
to the Meru people. We have our own language and our own culture.

Sie schreiben eine Email an msumarije@gmail.com mit Ihren Reisewünschen, das heißt Reisezeit mit Start-Datum und Ende, was möchten Sie sehen, wieviel
Personen, spezielle Wünsche über Gebiete, die Sie sehen möchten. Dann wird die Safari geplant und es können die Kosten berechnet werden. Den Flug
buchen Sie bitte selbst, möglichst bis Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO). Der Flughafentransfer ist selbstverständlich in einer Safari enthalten.
Eine solche individuelle Safari sollte aus mindestens 2 Personen bestehen. Sie werden dann mit einem gut gewarteten Geländefahrzeug gefahren und der
Fahrer ist ortskundig und kennt sich selbstverständlich auch in der Natur und in der Tierwelt aus.
Wichtig: Sie sollten unbedingt halbwegs gut Englisch sprechen!
How do you plan your trip? It is easy:
You write an email to msumarije@gmail.com, telling your wishes, that means date of travel (start and end), what do you want to see, how many persons, special
interests about areas to be seen. Then the safari is planned and the costs are fixed. The flight please book yourself, preferably to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO).
Airport transfer will be included in the safari. Such a private safari should have a minimum of 2 persons. You will be driven in a well maintained four-wheel-drive
car by a well experienced driver who knows his country, the nature and the interesting animals.
Important: You should be able to speak English quite fluently!
