Hula-Dances of Rapa Nui, the Easter Island
The island at the most beautiful end of the world
When we were sitting on Easter Island, watching a gorgeous sunset at the Pacific Ocean behind the giant and silent stone statues, we heard Polynesian music and singing from afar. We rushed towards that direction and came to a place where a local group of young islanders did their training session. We were very lucky and we enjoyed this evening as the only visitors. These traditional Polynesian dances and songs were not done for a tourist group in a hotel. This performance was exclusively for us.
