Male Lions stalking around our Safari Tent
In the remote Mdonya Old River Camp, Ruaha NP, Tanzania, male lions are rumbling at night
Mdonya Old River Camp is a wilderness tented camp in the remote Ruaha National Park, Tanzania. This area is the territory of a pride of lions, counting about 6 females and 2 males. Usually those males are brothers sharing the same harem. The pride was living in sight of the tented camp, and during night both „Bwana Simba“ kept on walking through the camp, marking their territory with long lasting and rumbling shouts. At night in our tents, those loud growls made our blood run cold, having only a piece of canvas between us and the lions.
